ABOUT NODIRA

Film Composer

A graduate of the Australian Film Television Radio School (AFTRS) in Screen Music, Nodira has been composing for film since 2009, working closely with directors from script stage through to final cut. Her process is collaborative and intuitive, often beginning in pre-production stage.

Alongside her composition music studies in Uzbekistan Conservatorium, she undertook professional training as an opera singer, which informs her instinct for drama, tension, and release — allowing her to score not just what is seen, what is felt beneath it.

Fluent in five languages, Nodira works seamlessly across international productions, bringing clarity to creative collaboration and nuance to culturally layers storytelling.

Accomplishments

Her work has been recognised internationally, including a nomination for Best Soundtrack at the MMTV Awards and Best Song of the Year from Tarona Records.

In 2024, she was selected for the Composer Placement Award, leading to collaboration with Hylton Mowday on the animated series Flower and Flour, produced by Cheeky Little Media and airing on ABC Kids in 2026.
